(whispers) its a-ok to rely on fictional characters to get you through your life bc life is hard ok if it makes you happy stick w/ it and anybody who says otherwise can go fuck themselves (pets u gentlee)
I call for a show of hands.
Reblog if you’ve ever gotten emotional support from a fictional character.
Cause I know I have.
“Stage fright” isn’t even the best description. There’s no way I can describe the overwhelming tidal wave of fear that just floods my entire being, but it’s the closest I can come to and it’s more accurate than “art block”.
I’m trying my best to overcome it for the sake of finally trying out something I’ve enjoyed before I started, but it’s like fighting a losing battle. Eventually all I want to do is go bang my head on the desk for a while. Not even the prospect of success can convince the fear to budge.
I feel so crippled at times like this.

I was at Target yesterday and this little girl wanted to buy Halo 4, but this lady came up to her and said video games are for boys. This lady had a box of trix in her cart and so the girl grabs the box and said ‘and trix are for kids.’ and ran off with the cereal and the game.
Good for her.
fuck yeah
THAT WAS THE BEST ENDING

Isabel Chen, a medical student at UBC, is part of a team that has invented a mobile panic button for street-based sex trade workers in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
A voice or text message is first recorded onto a SIM card, which is inserted into a GPS-enabled device such as a pager that would only need to be charged once a week. Pressing a button on the pager activates the GPS and sends an emergency message and GPS location to a contact who can get help. Because the GPS is not activated until the device is activated, the anonymity of the user is preserved.
This is such a great idea I’m surprised it wasn’t already invented years ago!
